Bienenstock Natural Playgrounds at Canada Blooms 2020

Bienenstock Natural Playgrounds will have their 8,000 square foot natural playground exhibit, the world’s largest, set up at the Enercare Center this March 13th-22nd as part of Canada Blooms 2020.

The exhibit is part of Bienenstock’s progressive accessibility campaign to develop universally accessible playgrounds. The campaign is meant to challenge the boundaries of what’s typically been considered adequate in catering to people of all physical, cognitive and developmental abilities.

Especially relevant in today’s sociocultural climate, exposure to natural environments has been proven to bolster immune systems, as well as cognitive function and development, while mitigating aggressive behaviour and catastrophic injury. The integration of truly accessible, natural playgrounds as a tool to ensure all children of all abilities are afforded the opportunity to develop towards their potential is paramount.
